Seed Selection
Seed: Planting seed is produced under contract and
is selected based on crop variety and specific genetics for agronomics
and end use applications. Planting seed is tested by a certified third-party
laboratory to verify non-GMO purity.
Labels: Producer retains non-GMO verified planting
seed labels/tags.
Seed Transportation: Planting seed is transported
in a manner that maintains the integrity of the grain and prevents
contamination from other grains. Product is shipped in trucks in which
floor, walls, doors and/or entry ports have been thoroughly cleaned
prior to loading. A completed Clean Truck Affidavit is sent with shipment
of product.
Cleaning of Equipment: Conveyors and augers are thoroughly
cleaned and augers are reversed before use to prevent contamination
from other grains.
Seed Storage: If seed is stored in bulk prior to
planting, storage bin walls, floor doors and/or entry ports are thoroughly
cleaned and swept. Load out augers are reversed and cleaned before
loading seed into storage bins. |

Food International’s Premium Identity Program is our rigorous
step-by-step Identity Preservation program which ensures the integrity
of our certified organic and conventional non-GMO ingredients to
meet our Premium Quality Ingredient standards.
Our Premium Identity Program manages each production stage from
seed selection, planting, growing, harvesting, storage, transportation,
processing, packaging and delivery. This is possible with the support
of our qualified growers, staff, certified third-party inspection
agencies, certified third-party laboratories, processors, including
SK Food Specialty Processing, and trucking companies.

Planting
Cleaning of Equipment: All equipment used for planting
including drill, planters, bulk seed handling trucks, augers and seed
treating equipment is thoroughly cleaned before use.
Crop Rotation: Production is not planted on ground
where Genetically Modified Crops were planted at minimum of one crop
year. |

| Growing
Field Inspection:
Production is monitored to identify any off types or other grains
evident in the production fields. |

Harvest
Cleaning of Equipment: All equipment used for harvesting,
which may include combines, trucks, tarps, augers, legs, conveyors
and storage bins, is thoroughly cleaned before harvesting and/or handling
of crop.
Buffer Strip: Minimum of 20-foot buffer strip is
harvested and discarded, unless there is a physical barrier such as
a fence row or tree row to prevent contamination from other fields.

Processing/Packaging
Facilities: Product is cleaned at contracted cleaning
facilities, including SK Food Specialty Processing, which is a certified
Identity Preserved Seed Conditioning Facility through Minnesota
Crop Improvement.
Processing Order: A processing order, which includes
the product lot number that is traceable back to farmer’s
field, is issued to the processor prior to delivery of product.
The processing order specifies quantity to be delivered, quality
specifications to be met, packing and labeling requirements and
shipment information. All products are cleaned in a manner that
preserves the identity of the product.
Testing: Product is tested by in-house laboratory
as well as certified third-party laboratory to verify non-GMO purity
by Litmus test and PCR testing. Testing is performed on inbound
and finished product.
Processing Report: A processing report with lot
number verifying quantity of product delivered and quantity of finished/cleaned
product is issued by processor. All product delivered is accounted
for and all processing steps are clearly documented.
Quality Assurance Certificate: A Quality Assurance Certificate
verifying quality of product is issued by processor for each lot
upon completion
of processing.
Samples: Processor and SK Food International retain
inbound and finished product samples. |

Shipment and
Delivery
Clean Truck/Container Affidavit: Product is loaded
into hopper bottom truck, railcar, dry van trailer and/or 20’
or 40’ export container in a manner that maintains the integrity
of the grain and prevents contamination from other grains. Product
is shipped in hopper bottom truck, railcar, dry van trailer and/or
20’ or 40’ export container in which floor, walls, doors
and/or entry ports have been thoroughly cleaned prior to loading.
A completed Clean Truck, Clean Container and/or Clean Railcar Affidavit
is sent with shipment of product.
Seals: Truck, Container and/or Railcar is sealed
by processor after loading. Seal number is applied to bill of lading
to ensure integrity of product. Seal remains intact until product
is delivered and received by customer. |
